Dr Daniel Rainer Neumann
A political scientist by training, I am a researcher focusing on the intelligence studies. I am working as Junior Professor of Defence Intelligence at the German Federal University of Applied Administrative Sciences in Berlin. Previously I taught courses on intelligence as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Security and Global Affairs at Leiden University in the Hague. Recently, I co-authored several policy papers for a project on German intelligence reform. My doctoral research at the Department of War Studies, King’s College London investigated member state intelligence support to EU foreign policymaking, specifically to the EU Intelligence and Situation Centre (INTCEN).
